A paediatric consultation is for any child under 10 years of
age with an eye problem.
Please be aware that as part of the consultation it is
most likely that a cycloplegic refraction (glasses test with eye drops) will be
required.
A 30 min time slot will be reserved for consultation with the patient
however the patient and guardian may need to spend up to 2
hours with us while the drops work. Alternatively, it may be necessary to send the
patient home with drops which will allow for the cycloplegic refraction to be done on another
day.
